This commitment constitutes a key element for the achievement of the 30X30 target as it concerns the effective management of marine protected areas and the essential protection and conservation of biodiversity and of the listed habitats and species. This commitment is related to Greece’s obligations from EU law for the enactment of conservation measures for the areas of the Natura 2000 network as also to the project in progress which is coordinated by the Ministry of Environment and Energy for the drafting of Special Environmental Studies and the promulgation of presidential decrees and management plans for these areas.
